Amber + Jordan | A Lynn Meadows Wedding Story in Gulfport, Mississippi
I officially met Amber, the bride, a few years back when we were working on a photo shoot together. She did hair and make-up, and I was the photographer. However, my admiration for her started years before that when we worked in the same department store. Her beautiful and unique retro style and confidence lit every room she entered. When she asked me to photograph her wedding I was both honored and extremely excited. I knew it would be like no other wedding I had photographed before!
Amber and Jordan's wedding day started at the historic White House Hotel in Biloxi, Mississippi, where she got ready with her maid of honor. The ceremony followed at Lynn Meadows Discover Center, an old school converted into a children's museum in Gulfport, Mississippi. Their wedding was a blend of vintage and Disney's A Little Mermaid, with subtle gold and sea foam green touches throughout the details and an instrumental version of "Kiss the Girl" playing during dinner. In Amber's vows she spoke of how she dreamt of a man that would be willing to go to Disney World for their honeymoon, and how Jordan fulfilled that dream. Another wedding dream of hers came true with the inclusion of a vintage Chevy Bel Air carrying her to the base of the aisle. The reception also included the couple's love of drama, taking place in a black box theatre. In addition to welcoming family and friends, Amber and Jordan, both teachers, invited their students to be a part of their special day. There was no shortage of dancing, and they ended the night with a final dance to "Time Warp" from The Rocky Horror Picture Show followed by a epic exit in Star Wars fashion.
