Kari and Joe were married in Cannon Beach, Oregon on what was one of the hottest days of the year. It may have even broken records for Cannon Beach itself. Despite the heat causing a little stress, all that seamed to melt (pun intended) away when Kari and Joe were in each other’s presence. The certainty they had for each other could be felt by anyone in the same room as them. It was obvious that they not only loved each other, but were best friends.
The heartfelt ceremony took place at Cannon Beach Community Church. Afterwords Kari, Joe and I ventured to Ecola State Park to enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the Oregon coast and a little freshly married alone time for the two of them. I drove us there and enjoyed their giddy childlike excitement in the back seat. The last stop of the day was at the Surfsand Resort where the couple were surrounded once more by all the love of family and friends. I love speeches because they always give me more of a sense of who the couple are and how they are seen by those closest to them. When it came time for their speeches it was made clear over and over again that Kari and Joe were truly better together and that could be seen by all.
