On the morning of Lisa and Andrew’s wedding day, I met them at their New Jersey home to capture some sweet pre-wedding moments. They were completely calm and at peace in each other’s arms, despite the wedding day excitement. Lisa and Andrew are two genuine souls that you feel are meant to be together upon meeting them. The beauty and warmth of the new home they were making together very much reflected the beauty and warmth they gave off as a couple. After their intimate at-home session, we took a short walk down the street to a park with the most glorious view of the Manhattan skyline, before heading into the city.

After a slow, peaceful morning together, we all ventured to Williamsburg, Brooklyn for the main events of the day. Lisa and Andrew chose to get married at MyMoon because it was so different from other glitzy banquet halls. They are both down to earth and wanted a space that felt less frilly, more genuine and warm. They felt MyMoon was filled with personality, and they wanted their guests to be as surprised by the space as they were. Lisa said, “It also feels very representative of our personalities – down to earth, genuine and vibrant, warm and welcoming, fun and different, refined, yet slightly rugged.” The space is filled with beautiful, rich tones inside, and lush greenery outside, that made you feel like you were anywhere but a big city. It was easy to see why they chose such a unique space.

After the ceremony, I was able to steal the couple away for some romantic moments down by the waterfront, before returning to MyMoon for a night filled with lots of dancing, laughter and celebration. After their grand exist, we ended the night with a final stop: the Brooklyn Bridge, where somehow the tourists cooperated long enough for us to get some shots that made it look like they were the only two people in the world.

“Thank you for everything! You exceeded all of our hopes and expectations! I loved getting to know you at MyMoon’s bar the night before. By the time we were taking photos it already felt like we were old friends. You were so calm during the rush of the morning, and I cannot thank you enough for that! You made the day feel like a breeze and you made the photoshoots feel so natural. You have such a beautiful heart and your adventurous spirit, mixed with your stunning ability to capture the mood of any moment makes you a total treasure! We’re beyond grateful and honored to have had you photograph such a special day.” – Lisa
